A product created by our team to make restaurant operations simpler, faster, and more scalable without relying on expensive legacy POS hardware.

Overview

About the product

Tablio is our own cloud-based SaaS platform created for restaurants, cafes, and bars. We designed it as a modern alternative to traditional POS systems, lighter, more flexible, and easier to deploy on tablets and mobile devices used by staff in daily operations.

The product brings together POS, order handling, table management, staff control, analytics, CRM-related workflows, and inventory processes inside one ecosystem. The goal was to build a system that feels simple in use, but powerful enough to support real business operations from day one.

Challenge

What needed to be solved

Most hospitality systems are either too outdated and hardware-dependent, or too complex for small and mid-sized businesses. We wanted to create a product that works naturally for waiters, managers, and owners, while still covering the operational depth a real venue needs.

  • Build a cloud POS product without dependency on bulky legacy equipment
  • Support tablets, iPads, and mobile staff devices
  • Combine front-of-house speed with backoffice control
  • Create a scalable SaaS foundation for multiple venues and future expansion
Solution

What we built

  • Tablet and mobile POS application for day-to-day service
  • Cloud web-based admin panel for venue management
  • Order flow, table handling, payments, split bill, tips, and refunds
  • Menu structure with categories, dishes, modifiers, taxes, and pricing
  • Staff roles, shifts, permissions, and action control
  • Inventory logic with automated stock deduction based on dishes sold
Approach

Product direction

Tablio was designed as a product first, not as a one-off client project. That changed the way we approached architecture, usability, and scalability. We needed every module to make sense not only for one venue, but for a growing product that could serve many businesses at once.

The UX had two key layers: speed for staff during service and clarity for managers in the admin environment. That is why the product is split into operational interfaces and a dedicated web backoffice for settings, reports, products, inventory, and users.

Cloud-first POS

Built for tablets and mobile devices, making it easier to launch and operate without specialized POS computers.

Admin web panel

Managers can control menu, staff, settings, reports, and business workflows from a dedicated backoffice interface.

Automated inventory logic

Stock and ingredients can be tracked with automated deduction based on dishes sold, which improves accuracy and daily operations.

Result

Outcome

Tablio became a strong in-house SaaS product foundation for the HoReCa market. It combines the operational speed required in a venue with the control and visibility needed by managers and business owners.

The product shows how a modern hospitality platform can unify POS, management, analytics, and stock processes into one practical system built for real-world restaurant operations.
